Sample Room #1
Entry door view. Room designed for a young autistic adult who loves to drum, and watch videos of movies and music performances. He loves organization and a place to put everything.

This room features a natural pine wood floor with matching TV/VCR table and hanging shelving unit holding his "sensory" items of beanie babies and Pooh bear. There is a full sized platform bed containing 2 deep storage drawers below.

The furniture is constructed of wood covered in mica for easy cleaning and durability with rounded edges to avoid injury.

An electronic drum set sits atop the chest of drawers convenient and compact.
This closet was specifically designed to manage behavioral characteristics.

The main area is a combination hanging unit on the right and a storage unit on the left with shelving.

The lower left portion is hamper with a barrier inside the opening. This plan was designed to prevent the young man from re-wearing his dirty clothes.

The topmost portion of the closet is a lift open storage area for his duffle bag and other large items. On the very bottom of the closet is a toe kick for shoe storage.
Two new features have been added to this room. The young man started drumming on the walls and creating little pock marks in the drywall. We installed a wainscot of an upholstery grade almond colored vinyl fabric around the room and the problem was cured.

For a nice finished look, a matching pine wood molding was added.

The second feature utilized the space of the hamper which was no longer needed. Due to the original flexible design, the cabinet door was replaced and shelving was added.
